Cat Litter
It has been said, dogs have owners and cats have staff. That is so true. Sometimes you may feel like a staff member when it comes time to change the litter box, I don’t know about you, but this is one nasty chore. The nasty ammonia smell, clumping litter or the old clay type, it all smells. Try keeping up with more than one kitty multiplies the problem. If you are not as fortunate as some that live in the country with kittys that go outside, then you have to have the good ol’ litter box.
The old clay type of cat litter has it’s own special disposal problems. This type was made of a clay base and very hard to keep clean. It did not take very many uses before it would start to smell badly. Changing the litter was a dirty chore that every cat lover loathed. Even using baking powder did not always help to keep some of the ammonia smell away. We just had to come up with a new idea that would keep our kittys happy, and help to keep our sanity.
This great need prompted the invention of the automatic style litter box. There many different types of the newer style automatic litter boxes, you can do a search on the internet and find all kinds of these litter boxes to help with the problem.
I will try and show some of the most popular ones and all the different items that go along with them to help solve the problem of that nasty ammonia smell in your house.
I love my kittys, they bring a lot of enjoyment to me and my wife. They are a real trip to watch with all of their antics. They also are considered by most to be another family member. I dedicate this website to my ol’ nasty cat, who passed away at the ripe old age of 15 1/2 years. Nasty was one of a kind. He could speak several words that were very understandable to me. When I was away from home at work and called home, he would grab my wife’s arm and pull the phone down to him and start talking away to me. He was and is, my kitty buddy.
